This Privacy Policy explains how the Burnaby North Dry Grad Committee collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information provided by students and parents/guardians for the purposes of organizing and running the Dry Grad 2025 Celebration at Scotia Barn.

  • Signed consent forms and waivers

  • Media consent preferences (photo/video)

  • Transportation needs (if applicable)

3. How We Use This Information

  • Your personal information will only be used for purposes directly related to the event, including:

  • Managing event registration and attendance

  • Ensuring student safety and emergency preparedness

  • Coordinating transportation and accessibility accommodations

  • Communicating important updates with students and parents

  • Organizing consent-based photography and media coverage

  • We will not use your information for any commercial purposes or share it with third-party organizations outside the scope of the event.

 

4. Storage and Security

  • All collected data will be stored securely, either digitally in password-protected files or physically in locked storage accessible only to authorized Dry Grad Committee members.

  • Personal data will be retained only as long as necessary to coordinate the event and meet legal or school requirements.

  • After the event, all personal data will be securely deleted or destroyed.

5. Third-Party Vendors

If any third-party service providers (e.g., venues, photographers, caterers) require access to limited student information (e.g., name lists), they will only receive what is absolutely necessary and will be required to respect the confidentiality and privacy of all attendees.

6. Media and Photography

Photos and videos may be taken during the event for use in:

  • Yearbooks

  • School newsletters or websites

  • Future Dry Grad promotions

Students who do not wish to be photographed or recorded must indicate this on the registration form. We will make reasonable efforts to honor all such requests.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Review the personal information we have on file

  • Request corrections to your information

  • Withdraw consent for use of personal data at any time (prior to the event)
